ISDI FSDU brochure now available in French and Spanish
ISDI is pleased to announce that the brochure on international standards for Foods for Special Dietary Uses (FSDU) is now available in French and Spanish.
The brochure, first published in 2018 and updated in 2020, gives a comprehensive overview of FSDU based on the ‘General Standard for the Labelling of and Claims for Prepackaged Foods for Special Dietary Uses’ (CODEX STAN 146-1985), which defines this category of products at international level.
The brochure was developed for informational purposes and to facilitate a better understanding of international Codex standards in this area. It is an ideal resource to be used as educational support for food business manufacturers or as the basis for discussions with national authorities on FSDU.
The new French and Spanish translated versions bring the brochure to a much wider audience and will allow its use as an educational resource in a number of new regions around the world.
